Race to Zero: The new Mammut trail running collection for summer 2023.
The 100% decarbonized Aenergy trail running series builds on Mammut's long-standing mountain sports expertise to offer an ultra-light and compressible solution that can simultaneously withstand demanding and changeable alpine conditions.

Mammut's return to the trail running segment means more than just covering distance: All CO2 emissions generated in the production of the collection are actually removed from the atmosphere as part of a cooperation agreement with Climeworks and other partners. Decarbonization pays into Mammut's commitment to reach its goal of Net Zero by 2050. In May, the Strava Challenge "Race to Zero" will inspire runners to actively undertake something for climate protection.

The Mammut trail running shoes for medium to long distances in alpine terrain: even the most demanding trail running conditions are not an obstacle thanks to the shoes' Vibram Megagrip outsole with Litebase technology and low weight. Since comfort is paramount in these models with elastic sock construction, a generously cushioned EVA midsole has been integrated. The upper material has a high level of breathability, so the wearer can focus on the challenges presented by the trail. The precise BOA® Fit System can be infinitely adjusted, even when wearing gloves, and ensures optimal individual hold. A rubber edge protects against scree and reflective elements makes the runner visible. The GTX version features a GORE-TEX membrane to keep feet dry.

Aenergy TR HS Hooded Jacket Men & Women
Mammut's lightest 3-layer hardshell jacket to date with the smallest pack volume was developed specifically for fast-paced activities such as trail running and is not only featherlight (155 g/ M), but also 100% wind- and waterproof (water column: 20,000 mm). The entire Mammut trail running collection is 100% decarbonized. This means that the emissions caused by production are not only offset, but actually removed from the atmosphere. To achieve this, Mammut has enlisted the support of partners such as Climeworks. Climeworks is a pioneer and leading company in the removal of CO2 from the air with its "Direct Air Capture" technology. This means that the CO2 removed is stored safely and permanently or recycled as a raw material.

Strava Challenge "Race to Zero”
Throughout the month, Mammut has planned running meets and local Challenge segments in various cities. Those who show their segment badge at participating stores after completing 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100 kilometers will receive discounts and prizes.
All finishers will also receive a 20% discount on Mammut clothing and a 20% discount on CO₂ removal at Climeworks.com. One will additionally be entered into a drawing to win one of five new 100% decarbonized trail running outfits from Mammut.
